The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C. published guidelines for displaying the U.S. Flag. The guidelines call for displaying the flag in public only from sunrise to sunset and that the flag is illuminated when displayed during darkness. The Original Solar Flag Lamps addresses this guideline offering dusk to dawn light. The U.S. Flag is also always to its own right or at the left as seen from the audience.
